Requirements

  • • Provide safe, compassionate and person-centred nursing care
  • • Assess residents and respond appropriately to changes in their health and care requirements
  • • Coordinate clinical activities and support effective care delivery
  • • Promote resident dignity, independence, comfort and wellbeing
  • • Provide leadership and guidance to care staff at ward level
  • • Support team members through mentoring and professional guidance
  • • Collaborate with nursing, care and multidisciplinary teams
  • • Maintain accurate clinical notes, records and documentation
  • • Apply appropriate aged care clinical practices and procedures
  • • Provide and coordinate palliative care when required
  • • Use knowledge of AN-ACC in supporting resident care and clinical processes
  • • Communicate clearly with residents, families, colleagues and relevant stakeholders
  • • Identify and escalate clinical concerns appropriately
  • • Manage workload and competing priorities effectively
  • • Contribute to quality improvement and positive resident outcomes
  • • Participate in rostered morning, afternoon and night shifts
