Job description
Real automotive expertise is demonstrated in the workshop. This opportunity is for a qualified Automotive Technician whose training, employment history and hands-on skills can be clearly verified. A growing automotive business in New South Wales is looking for a technician with at least 3 years of post-apprenticeship experience. The successful candidate will work across a range of vehicles, using modern diagnostic equipment while delivering accurate servicing and repairs. Permanent full-time and part-time positions are available Monday to Friday, with flexible start and finish times. The workshop offers a professional team environment, modern equipment and a focus on quality workmanship.
Key responsibilities
- Perform logbook servicing and scheduled maintenance
- Inspect vehicles and identify mechanical faults
- Complete mechanical repairs across different vehicle makes and models
- Use diagnostic scanners and workshop equipment to investigate faults
- Carry out repairs efficiently while maintaining quality standards
- Accurately record diagnostic findings, servicing and completed repairs
- Explain repair requirements and completed work to customers when required
- Maintain safe and organised work practices within the workshop
- Follow appropriate technical and workplace safety procedures
- Work collaboratively with other workshop team members
Requirements
- Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent trade qualification
- Minimum 3 years of post-apprenticeship automotive experience
- Demonstrated hands-on experience across multiple vehicle makes and models
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Practical experience with modern automotive scan tools
- Ability to provide verifiable evidence of qualifications
- Ability to provide supporting evidence of previous relevant employment
- Consistent and reliable approach to workshop responsibilities
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence or eligibility to obtain one
- Ability to meet relevant sponsorship and employment requirements
