Job description
Two Automotive Technicians are sought for a dealership opportunity in Darwin, NT, suited to tradespeople who can demonstrate genuine experience in vehicle servicing, diagnostics and mechanical repairs. This opportunity is focused on practical capability. Candidates should have a proven record of completing automotive work safely, accurately and consistently, with qualifications and employment history that clearly support their technical skills. You’ll join an experienced dealership team, work across a variety of repair and maintenance tasks and have access to manufacturer training to support ongoing technical development and career progression.
Key responsibilities
- Service and maintain vehicles according to required standards
- Carry out accurate mechanical inspections and fault diagnosis
- Identify faults and determine appropriate repair solutions
- Complete mechanical repairs and component replacements
- Perform scheduled maintenance and servicing
- Use diagnostic equipment and workshop tools appropriately
- Record completed work and repair recommendations accurately
- Maintain high standards of workmanship on every job
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures
- Work cooperatively with technicians and dealership staff
- Manage allocated repair work independently when required
- Support a professional and customer-focused workshop environment
Requirements
- Recognised automotive trade qualification
- Demonstrated practical experience as an Automotive Technician
- Previous automotive dealership experience
- Toyota experience is highly desirable
- Strong vehicle diagnostic and mechanical repair skills
- Ability to demonstrate genuine and verifiable automotive employment history
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team
- Ability to work independently when required
- Current Australian driver’s licence
- Applicants currently in Australia must hold valid Australian working rights
