Key responsibilities

  • Ask what the customer wants from the haircut, style or groom
  • Cut and style with clippers, razors and scissors
  • Do fades, tapered cuts, traditional styles and contemporary styles
  • Shave, and trim and shape moustaches and beards
  • Suggest suitable products and pass on hair care and grooming tips
  • Disinfect and clean workstations, tools and equipment, keep hygiene and safety standards up, take payments, and serve people in a friendly, professional manner

Requirements

  • Substantial relevant experience, an equivalent qualification, or a Certificate III in Barbering or Hairdressing
  • Demonstrated barber experience
  • Strong beard grooming and fades
  • Strong clipper cutting and scissor cutting
  • Clear communicator with customer service skills who works independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable habits at work, professional presentation, and available for rosters with weekends
