Job description
Your trade experience matters. This opportunity is for carpenters who have built their skills through real project work and are ready to put that experience to work on ongoing commercial projects. A well-established construction business is seeking capable General Carpenters for full-time opportunities across New South Wales. Work is available across interior fit-outs, commercial doors, flooring, decking and general carpentry. Candidates will be assessed on their practical experience, trade capability and ability to meet the expectations of professional construction sites.
Key responsibilities
- Complete general carpentry work across commercial construction projects
- Carry out interior fit-outs including skirting and architrave installation
- Install commercial doors and associated components
- Install and finish decking projects
- Complete flooring installation work
- Perform general carpentry, repairs and finishing tasks
- Take accurate measurements and work to project specifications
- Read and follow construction drawings and job requirements
- Operate carpentry tools and equipment safely
- Maintain accurate and professional workmanship
- Complete work efficiently while meeting site standards
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other trades
- Travel between project sites across New South Wales when required
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on carpentry experience
- Proven experience in commercial carpentry or relevant construction work
- Genuine and verifiable trade experience
- Strong practical understanding of carpentry methods and materials
- Ability to demonstrate relevant skills and previous project experience
- Own tools suitable for the required carpentry work
- Reliable transport and ability to travel between sites
- Current White Card
- Knowledge of Australian construction standards and practices is desirable
- Must have Australian work rights or meet sponsorship eligibility requirements
- Sponsorship available for qualified overseas candidates with relevant and verifiable carpentry experience
