Job description
A growing Australian financial services business is expanding its Sydney CBD team and seeking Customer Service Consultants who can bring genuine customer-facing experience, strong communication and a reliable approach to every interaction. Customers often contact the business when they need clear answers and practical support. Your role will be to listen, understand what they need, explain the next steps and ensure their application continues moving efficiently. This opportunity is particularly suited to candidates who can demonstrate and verify their professional background, rather than simply list experience on a CV.
Key responsibilities
- Respond professionally to customer enquiries by phone and email
- Understand customer requirements and provide appropriate assistance
- Guide customers through relevant stages of their loan application
- Explain processes and requirements clearly
- Coordinate with internal teams to resolve application issues
- Follow up on outstanding customer or partner actions
- Keep customers updated throughout the application journey
- Maintain accurate records and information across internal systems
- Manage multiple customer matters in a fast-paced environment
- Handle customer information with professionalism and discretion
Requirements
- Genuine customer service or customer-facing employment experience
- Ability to provide evidence supporting previous employment experience
- Strong spoken and written English communication
- Excellent listening and interpersonal skills
- Professional and customer-focused approach
- Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills
- Comfortable using multiple digital systems
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and busy workloads
- Contact centre or financial services experience is advantageous
- Eligible Australian work rights, including eligible Working Holiday Visa holders
- Sponsorship may be available for suitable candidates
