Job description
We are connecting experienced Diesel and Truck Mechanics with workshop opportunities where practical ability, technical knowledge and a credible employment background matter. The positions are suited to mechanics who can demonstrate real-world experience working with trucks, diesel engines and heavy vehicle systems. Your qualifications and employment history should reflect the skills you bring to the workshop, helping employers identify technicians who are genuinely suited to the work. Australian workshop experience is valued, while experienced candidates from overseas may also be considered.
Key responsibilities
- Service and maintain trucks and heavy diesel vehicles
- Diagnose mechanical faults and investigate vehicle performance issues
- Carry out engine servicing, repairs and component replacement
- Perform inspections of braking and suspension systems
- Repair and maintain trailer and heavy vehicle components
- Use appropriate diagnostic tools and mechanical testing procedures
- Identify faults and determine suitable repair solutions
- Complete preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
- Carry out repairs efficiently while maintaining quality standards
- Document completed repairs and inspections accurately
- Complete job cards and workshop records
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures
Requirements
- Relevant trade qualification in Diesel, Heavy Vehicle or Truck Mechanics
- Minimum 5 years of relevant mechanical experience
- Demonstrated practical experience working on trucks or diesel engines
- Experience with heavy vehicle engines and mechanical systems
- Knowledge of trailer, suspension and braking systems
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capability
- Ability to perform repairs independently and accurately
- Demonstrable employment history relevant to the position
- Ability to provide evidence of qualifications and professional experience
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe workmanship
- Ability to work effectively within a workshop team
- Australian industry experience is highly regarded
