Job description
Experienced New Zealand-certified electricians in Auckland can explore opportunities across a range of industrial maintenance, shutdown and project-based electrical environments. Candidates will be considered based on their verified electrical credentials, relevant work history and practical experience across different operating environments. Your preferred working arrangement can also be taken into account when matching you with suitable opportunities.
Key responsibilities
- Perform electrical installation, maintenance and repair work across assigned sites
- Inspect electrical equipment, systems and facilities and identify faults
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical instructions
- Diagnose electrical problems and carry out effective fault-finding
- Complete planned and reactive electrical maintenance
- Conduct required inspections, testing and compliance checks
- Document completed work, maintenance activities and relevant findings
- Work with supervisors, project personnel and other trades to coordinate tasks
- Maintain high standards of electrical safety and workmanship
- Follow site procedures, legislative requirements and established safe work practices
- Support shutdown and project teams to complete work within required timeframes
Requirements
- Recognised New Zealand Electrical Certification
- Demonstrated professional experience as an electrician
- Industrial, infrastructure or mining experience is essential
- Strong practical knowledge of electrical maintenance and fault diagnosis
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation
- Commitment to safe working practices and regulatory compliance
- Willingness to work across Queensland or Western Australia
- Willingness to undertake FIFO shutdown assignments in Western Australia
- Australian working rights or eligibility to obtain an Australian work visa
- Candidates requiring visa sponsorship may be considered
- Ability to provide evidence supporting qualifications and relevant electrical experience
