Job description
Experienced construction professionals are invited to explore opportunities supporting major civil infrastructure projects across South Australia. Positions are available for Formwork Carpenters, Concreters, Steel Fixers, Leading Hands and Trade Assistants. The focus is on candidates who can demonstrate genuine hands-on experience, understand construction-site expectations and have a consistent record of delivering safe, quality work. Your previous employment, practical responsibilities, trade capabilities and supporting experience can help demonstrate that you are ready for project-based construction work.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out construction work in accordance with project plans and specifications
- Complete formwork preparation, assembly and installation
- Perform concreting, placement and finishing activities
- Install reinforcement and carry out steel fixing work
- Support FRP (Form, Reo, Pour) construction processes
- Prepare tools, materials and work areas before commencing tasks
- Operate relevant tools and equipment in a safe and responsible manner
- Maintain quality and accuracy across completed work
- Work alongside supervisors, leading hands and other skilled trades
- Follow site-specific safety procedures and construction requirements
- Maintain clean, organised and safe working areas
- Identify and communicate hazards, defects or project issues
- Complete assigned tasks within agreed project schedules
- Assist with general civil construction activities when required
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of relevant civil construction experience
- Genuine hands-on experience in formwork, concreting, steel fixing or related civil construction
- Ability to demonstrate previous employment and relevant work experience
- Current White Card
- Relevant trade qualifications, licences or construction tickets are highly regarded
- Dogman, Working at Heights, Telehandler, CN, C6 or HR tickets are advantageous
- Strong awareness of construction safety requirements
- Ability to understand instructions, plans and project specifications
- Reliable approach to work and site responsibilities
- Strong attention to workmanship and detail
- Ability to work effectively with different trades and site teams
- Comfortable working in busy infrastructure construction environments
- Willingness to work across South Australia and interstate when required
