Job description
Full-time, permanent nursing work in a busy general practice near Newcastle, NSW.
The job is a Registered Nurse position in a GP clinic in New South Wales. It is full-time and permanent. GP experience is preferable. No GP background? On-the-job training is offered to the right candidate.
Expect a fast mix of triage, health assessments, immunisations, wound care and IV work such as iron infusions. Temporary Residence / Permanent Residence sponsorship is available for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities
- Triage incoming patients
- Liaise with patients and cover phones when needed
- Write chronic disease management plans; complete health assessments
- Run recalls and reminders
- Control stock, order supplies, manage the cold chain
- Do ECGs and spirometry; perform IV iron infusions and venesections
- Dress wounds and immunise patients of all ages, children included
- Help with minor procedures, look after equipment and back up GPs and staff
Requirements
- AHPRA: current unconditional registration
- Immunisations certificate (current), or willing to do the training
- CPR certificate
- Working with Children Check, current
- Good work ethic
- Organisational and time management skills
- Can work autonomously and in a team
- Copes with a fast-paced environment
- General practice experience preferable
