Full-time Hospitality All-Rounder needed at a busy central Auckland venue.

Auckland, New Zealand. $23.95 - $28 per hour. Full-time. Mix of floor service, bar work and general venue tasks. Training happens on the job.

Fast pace, lots of guests, team-first shifts. Visa sponsorship is something the employer is open to considering.

Key responsibilities

  • Take table orders, serve food and drinks
  • Process payments on the POS
  • Make and serve drinks: cocktails, beer, wine, non-alcoholic
  • Clear and reset tables quickly
  • Keep the venue clean and presentable
  • Greet and welcome guests
  • Pass special requests and dietary needs to kitchen and bar
  • Support kitchen and bar staff through rushes
  • Know the menu, specials and drinks; recommend well
  • Restock and tidy work areas
  • Follow health, safety and food handling rules

Requirements

  • Fast-paced hospitality experience, with some waiting or bar service
  • Passion for great customer service
  • Strong communication skills with guests and team
  • Stamina to stand for long periods on busy shifts
  • Reliable, punctual, positive and flexible
  • Good team player
  • Basic food safety and hygiene knowledge
  • POS experience desirable; training can be provided
  • Barista or bartending qualifications: an advantage, not essential
