Job description

Five Mental Health Registered Nurse positions are open in Sydney for 2026.

It is a full-time nursing role in Sydney, NSW, split across inpatient wards and community services, or based in one of them. The employer offers visa sponsorship plus an ENS 186 pathway to permanent residency. Current AHPRA registration and 2-3 years in mental health nursing are needed, along with a Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent.

Day to day, you assess patients under the Mental Health Act 2007, deliver quality care and work closely with a supportive team. Ongoing training is part of the role. Postgraduate mental health study helps you stand out.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years as a Mental Health Registered Nurse
  • Current AHPRA registration

  • Sound grasp of psychiatric assessments
  • Sound understanding of the Mental Health Act 2007
