Job description
A professional motorcycle dealership in Moorooka, Brisbane QLD is seeking an experienced Motorcycle Mechanic who can demonstrate genuine mechanical capability and a consistent record of practical experience. This opportunity is suited to a technician whose skills are supported by relevant qualifications and verifiable employment history. You will be expected to diagnose faults, complete repairs, perform servicing and follow manufacturer procedures across a variety of motorcycle systems. Your technical ability, attention to detail and demonstrated professional experience will be important when assessing your suitability for the role.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out systematic diagnosis of mechanical and electrical motorcycle faults
- Inspect motorcycles and identify maintenance and repair requirements
- Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
- Complete engine servicing, oil changes, lubrication and tune-ups
- Dismantle and reassemble motorcycle engines and mechanical assemblies
- Inspect, repair and replace worn or defective components
- Diagnose and repair braking, suspension, steering and transmission systems
- Operate appropriate diagnostic equipment and workshop tools
- Use manufacturer specifications and technical manuals when completing repairs
- Test and adjust motorcycles following servicing and repair work
- Verify that completed repairs meet required operating and safety standards
- Record servicing, repairs, parts used and other relevant workshop information
- Identify additional faults or maintenance requirements during inspections
- Follow workshop safety procedures and maintain professional workmanship standards
- Assist with urgent mechanical repairs when required
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Motorcycle Mechanical Technology or an equivalent trade
- Minimum two years of relevant motorcycle mechanical experience
- Demonstrated hands-on experience servicing and repairing motorcycles
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
- Experience with motorcycle engines, braking, suspension, steering and transmission systems
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment and standard motorcycle workshop tools
- Ability to understand and follow manufacturer specifications and technical manuals
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality repairs
- Ability to provide verifiable evidence of relevant qualifications and work experience
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
- Reliable approach to workshop responsibilities and quality standards
- Ability to work independently and within a professional mechanical team
