A Perth painting firm wants a hands-on Team Leader to run its crews.

The basics. Painter & Decorator Team Leader, Perth, WA, full-time and permanent. The firm has done residential and commercial painting in Western Australia for over 25 years. Commercial construction experience suits this job best. TSS482 visa sponsorship may be available for the right candidate.

What you do. Lead the crew on multiple sites, report to the Painting Manager and keep quality very high. Expect specialty finishes, wallcoverings and jobs that must finish on time. Clients matter here too.

Key responsibilities

  • Report straight to the Painting Manager
  • Motivate the crew and manage projects and team members across numerous sites
  • Fix problems on the spot or team up with the Painting Manager for a good result
  • Run safe sites in line with OSH policies, company procedures and induction manuals

Requirements

  • Trade Certified Painter (apprenticeship must be completed)
  • Leading hand or 2IC experience, proven
  • Manages projects and team members; strong communicator, well organised
  • Solves problems alone or with the Painting Manager to get a positive outcome
  • Detail-focused for quality control
  • Reads project drawings (floor plans, elevations)
  • Manual driver's license
  • White card
  • No subcontractors, no ABN holders
  • EWP and/or Working at Heights ticket (desirable)
  • First Aid (desirable)
  • Airless spraying experience (desirable)
  • Current National Criminal History Check
