Key responsibilities
- Manage residents' daily care and support your team
- Complete full, accurate nursing assessments
- Run medication management
- Lead residents' nursing care, interventions and treatments
- Protect residents' dignity and integrity and build their independence
- Plan and review care with doctors, allied health and families, and keep families informed
- Supervise care workers, enrolled nurses and other health staff
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent
- Registered Nurse qualified with AHPRA
- Minimum 3 months as a Registered Nurse in Australia, or minimum 2 years' work experience overseas
- Australian experience preferred
- Strong leader who can delegate and prioritise work
- Excellent communication and clinical problem-solving
- Works well in a multidisciplinary team and has delivered clinical patient-centred care
- Knows the Aged Care Accreditation Standards and aged care legislative framework, including safe medication administration
