Job description
A growing renewable energy team is seeking a hands-on worker to contribute to commercial and industrial solar projects across NSW. This opportunity is designed for candidates who can demonstrate real workplace experience, practical installation ability and a commitment to doing the job safely and correctly. Your background, technical understanding and transferable skills are important parts of the recruitment process. You’ll assist experienced installation teams across a range of solar projects while building further knowledge in one of Australia’s expanding industries.
Key responsibilities
- Support commercial and industrial solar installation projects
- Assist with positioning and installing solar panels
- Help install mounting structures and related components
- Use basic hand tools and power tools as required
- Load, carry and move materials safely around the worksite
- Follow technical drawings, installation manuals and work instructions
- Assist with preparing sites before installation work begins
- Maintain clean and organised work areas
- Complete site clean-up after installation activities
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times
- Identify and report potential site hazards
- Work closely with supervisors and other installation team members
- Complete practical tasks accurately and efficiently
- Work independently when assigned appropriate tasks
- Travel interstate when required for project work
Requirements
- Relevant hands-on experience in solar installation, construction, trades or similar practical work
- Solar installation experience is desirable but not essential
- Ability to demonstrate and verify previous employment and practical experience
- Ability to follow technical drawings, manuals and detailed work instructions
- Good practical problem-solving ability
- Strong attention to safety and quality
- Reliable and responsible approach to work
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to work independently when required
- Willingness to travel interstate
- Australian Driver Licence
- Own vehicle and reliable transport
- Construction White Card or willingness to obtain
- Height Safety ticket or willingness to obtain
- Genuine interest in renewable energy and long-term industry development
- Sponsorship available for the right candidate
