Job description

Five permanent Rope Access Technician jobs are open in New Zealand for experienced abseilers.

You will be based out of Auckland, working for a property maintenance firm with over 20 years in the country, full time, at $30 to $36.50 per hour. Work moves between greater Auckland and Christchurch, so plan for regular trips and nights away from home, plus short visits to other regions now and then.

Hours are set at a minimum of 70 hours a fortnight, usually 40 a week. Day shifts run 7am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday. Night shifts run 6pm to 2am, Monday to Thursday. You get your roster about one week in advance.

The firm is an accredited employer and wants to hear from IRATA-qualified abseilers based overseas, so this is a sponsored route into New Zealand. Training and further IRATA levels are on offer.

Apply through JobFinder with your CV ready. Put your IRATA certificate and rope hours near the top, then build a rope access CV for New Zealand jobs.
