Job description

A specialist building maintenance team is seeking Rope Access Technicians who can demonstrate genuine industry capability through recognised certifications, documented rope access hours and practical site experience. Working across Victoria, you’ll be involved in a range of access and building maintenance projects where safety, technical accuracy and dependable workmanship are essential. The position covers everything from window cleaning and façade maintenance to painting, caulking, glazing, inspections and remedial works. Whether you are an experienced Level 3 technician or a Level 1 professional building your hours, the focus is on what you can demonstrate through your qualifications, work history and practical skills. Additional training and development opportunities are available for technicians looking to expand their capabilities and progress towards senior or supervisory responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

  • Carry out rope access operations on commercial and building maintenance projects
  • Complete high-access window cleaning and maintenance activities
  • Perform painting and surface preparation work
  • Undertake caulking and sealing tasks
  • Assist with glazing and façade maintenance
  • Support façade inspection and remedial maintenance projects
  • Apply appropriate rope access techniques and safety procedures
  • Inspect and maintain rope access equipment before and during work
  • Follow workplace, site and industry safety requirements
  • Identify hazards and communicate safety concerns to supervisors
  • Deliver consistent, professional-quality workmanship
  • Work cooperatively with other technicians and site personnel
  • Participate in company training and skills development programs

Requirements

  • Current IRATA or SPRAT certification at Level 1, 2 or 3
  • Minimum 500 logged rope access hours for Level 1 technicians
  • Current Construction White Card
  • Current First Aid certification
  • Verifiable rope access work experience
  • Practical experience in window cleaning, painting, concrete repair, caulking or glazing is advantageous
  • Ability to demonstrate relevant qualifications and industry tickets
  • Strong safety awareness and commitment to safe work practices
  • Reliable attendance and professional workplace conduct
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively at height and in a team environment
  • Australian driver's licence preferred
  • Willingness to complete additional training and obtain further tickets
  • Availability for regular Monday to Friday work with occasional Saturdays
