Job description

A permanent full-time opportunity is available in NSW for a Senior Shotcreter with the practical ability to deliver specialist ground support work to a consistently high standard. This position is suited to an experienced operator whose background can be demonstrated through genuine project experience, technical knowledge and a strong understanding of safe shotcrete practices. You will be involved in demanding ground engineering environments where reliable equipment operation, accurate application and effective teamwork are essential. Working closely with anchoring and drilling teams, you will help deliver shotcrete solutions across a range of ground stabilisation projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate shotcrete machinery and associated equipment
  • Carry out shotcrete applications across ground engineering projects
  • Prepare surfaces and work areas for shotcrete installation
  • Apply concrete mixture accurately according to project specifications
  • Work closely with anchoring and drilling personnel
  • Coordinate shotcrete activities and support effective site operations
  • Maintain consistent standards of application quality and finish
  • Apply appropriate concrete preparation and mixing techniques
  • Share technical knowledge and assist with developing team capability
  • Promote safe working practices throughout all operations
  • Inspect and maintain shotcrete equipment to support reliable operation
  • Identify and respond to changing site conditions
  • Follow project-specific safety, quality and environmental procedures
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and other project personnel
  • Contribute to efficient delivery of ground support works

Requirements

  • Proven hands-on experience in professional shotcrete operations
  • Demonstrated ability to operate shotcrete machines and equipment
  • Strong understanding of concrete mixing and shotcrete application
  • Relevant experience in ground engineering, ground support or construction
  • Ability to demonstrate and verify previous technical work experience
  • Ability to provide appropriate evidence of relevant employment history
  • Experience working alongside anchoring and drilling teams
  • Strong safety awareness and understanding of site requirements
  • Nationally accredited OHS Card / White Card or equivalent
  • Full driving licence
  • Own reliable transport
  • MR licence for line pump operations where applicable
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary site team
  • Ability to work in varying and challenging environmental conditions
  • Ability to pass a project-specific pre-employment medical
  • Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening
  • Relevant Australian work rights or eligibility for employer sponsorship
  • Sponsorship available for suitably qualified candidates with demonstrable and verifiable experience.
