This opportunity is for skilled Wall and Floor Tilers who have built their trade through hands-on experience and can demonstrate the quality of their work. The position involves residential tiling projects in Queensland, where accuracy, clean finishing and attention to detail are essential. You will be expected to demonstrate your practical ability through a skills trial, providing a clear opportunity to verify your tiling experience and workmanship. Successful candidates will work across complete residential projects and detailed bathroom installations, including porcelain tiling requiring accurate set-out, tight grout lines and minimal lippage. Sponsorship is available for candidates who meet the required standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Carry out professional wall and floor tiling on residential projects
  • Complete tiling throughout new and existing homes
  • Install porcelain tiles with accurate set-out and alignment
  • Tile bathroom walls and floors to a high finishing standard
  • Measure areas and calculate tile requirements accurately
  • Cut and position tiles to achieve precise joins and edges
  • Maintain consistent spacing and tight grout joints
  • Ensure surfaces are level and finished with minimal lippage
  • Prepare surfaces before commencing installation
  • Use tiling tools and equipment correctly and safely
  • Check completed work for accuracy, alignment and finish
  • Maintain clean and organised work areas
  • Coordinate effectively with other trades on residential projects
  • Complete assigned work efficiently while maintaining quality standards

Requirements

  • Proven hands-on experience as a Wall and Floor Tiler
  • Strong background in residential tiling
  • Experience completing whole-house tiling projects
  • Demonstrated bathroom wall and floor tiling experience
  • Confident working with porcelain tiles
  • Strong understanding of accurate tile set-out and installation
  • Ability to consistently deliver precise, high-quality finishes
  • Willingness to demonstrate skills through a practical work trial
  • Own essential tiling tools
  • Own a suitable vehicle
  • Hold a valid driver's licence
  • Currently in Australia or willing to relocate
  • Reliable and responsible approach to work
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Professional attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
