Job description

We are looking for qualified and experienced Aged Care Workers and Personal Care Assistants who are ready to take the next step in their professional journey in Australia. You will support older people in residential care while contributing to an environment built around respect, safety, independence and individualised support.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver compassionate and person-centred care to residents
  • Assist residents with personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting
  • Provide support with mobility, transfers and appropriate mobility equipment
  • Assist residents with meals, hydration and feeding where required
  • Offer companionship, reassurance and day-to-day emotional support
  • Encourage participation in suitable activities and social engagement
  • Support residents with established daily routines and individual care needs
  • Follow individual care plans and workplace care procedures
  • Monitor and report relevant changes in residents’ health, behaviour or wellbeing
  • Record care activities, observations and progress accurately
  • Follow infection control, manual handling and occupational health and safety procedures
  • Work closely with nurses, care staff, allied health professionals and residents’ families
  • Maintain confidentiality and respect residents’ privacy and dignity
  • Consider residents’ cultural needs, personal preferences and individual choices
  • Promote independence, comfort, safety and overall wellbeing

Requirements

  • Relevant qualification in aged care, healthcare, nursing assistance or personal care
  • Previous aged care, residential care or disability support experience preferred
  • Demonstrated practical experience providing personal or community care
  • Good English communication skills
  • Ability to communicate professionally with residents and care teams
  • Genuine commitment to respectful and compassionate care
  • Reliable, responsible and professional approach to work
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Willingness to complete required screening, police checks and health assessments
  • Flexibility to work different rosters, shifts and weekends where required
  • Offshore candidates may be considered for employer sponsorship subject to eligibility
