Job description
Diesel Mechanic needed at a family-run cropping business near Griffith, NSW.
It is a full-time job looking after machinery, trucks and farm equipment, including quick repairs out in the field when things break down at busy times. Key responsibilities
- Keep all farm equipment maintained and repaired, from diagnostic checks to ordering parts
- Head out to field breakdowns and fix them on the spot when it is busy
- Run the workshop and spare parts stock, work with operators and managers, sometimes supervise junior staff and log maintenance and operations details
Requirements
- Qualified Diesel Mechanic, or strong relevant experience
- Works independently and solves problems under pressure
- Agricultural or heavy machinery experience preferred
- Reliable and hard-working in peak seasons, with good communication and organisation skills
