Job description
A premium bespoke joinery maker in the lower South Island of New Zealand needs a Joinery Detailer, working out of the Queenstown area.
The job is full-time and permanent. Hours are 40-44 a week. The opening follows a recent retirement, and the business has turned out all types of joinery for more than 30 years. Day to day, you read technical drawings, plan jobs, sort out problems early and line up builders, suppliers and sub-contractors so projects land on time.
Entry needs trade qualifications covering at least kitchen cabinetry, or three years of proven joinery-linked experience, plus a grasp of Microvellum or similar software. As an AEWV-accredited employer, the company can sponsor the right international candidates into permanent employment in New Zealand.

Key responsibilities
- Read and interpret the technical drawings and documents for every job
- Plan and manage projects, fixing issues along the way to hit deadlines
- Coordinate with builders, suppliers, sub-contractors, customers, architects and designers, and report to the management team
Requirements
- Trade qualification with kitchen cabinetry at a minimum, or three years' proven experience associated with joinery
- Understanding of Microvellum or similar woodworking software
- Strong work ethic, excellent time management and the ability to plan and problem solve
- Effective communication when dealing with customers, architects and designers
