Job description

A 72-bed aged care home in Newcastle, NSW wants a Registered Nurse for casual shifts.

Who is hiring? A not-for-profit with aged care homes, home care and retirement villages in New South Wales. Where? Newcastle. What hours? Casual, on shifts that move around the week.

What will you do? Nurse older residents. Support those with dementia. Fix clinical problems as they surface. Managers and a central support team stand behind you. Visa sponsorship will be considered for the right candidate.

Requirements

  • Full unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Aged Care Quality Standards: knowledge and understanding
  • Post-graduate applications welcome
  • Dementia: affinity and experience with residents, or willingness to gain experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent clinical problem-solving skills
  • Excellent, highly motivated team player
  • Available for various shifts across various days
  • Vaccinated under the organisation's immunisation policy, including a TGA-approved COVID-19 vaccine and annual influenza
  • Willing to undertake a National Criminal History Check
  • Pre-employment medical assessment
