Job description

Registered Nurse wanted for home visits, community nursing and facility shifts around Perth, WA.

The work is permanent and full-time. Pay is $85,000 - $95,000 per year. The hirer is a WA-owned healthcare company that runs in-home care and DVA services and sends nurses into aged care homes and hospitals. Expect different sites: the CBD, north of the river, south of the river. Your boss is the Clinical Care Manager.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess patients, plan their nursing care, carry it out and evaluate it against accepted nursing practice and standards
  • Coordinate care inside healthcare teams, consult other health professionals, and supervise Enrolled Nurses and other healthcare workers
  • Deliver treatments, medications and therapies from the care plan and monitor them
  • Run health promotion activities, join in patient education and keep documentation and records accurate
  • Stay compliant with current clinical standards (home care, aged care, hospital, community nursing) and Work Health and Safety legislation, maintain infection control and report incidents and hazards promptly

Requirements

  • Current AHPRA registration with a relevant nursing qualification for a Registered Nurse
  • Community nursing and home care experience, with a minimum of one year's full-time relevant experience
  • National Criminal History Check and Working with Children Check, each current
  • Manual Handling Certificate (current) and Infection Control certificate
  • Valid driver's licence; NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • Up-to-date (current) COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations
