Job description
We are seeking a capable and experienced Accountant to join a growing care services organisation in Western Australia. This is an opportunity for a finance professional who can demonstrate their accounting background and take responsibility for financial processes where accuracy and reliability are essential. The position has a strong focus on NDIS and brokerage receivables, while also providing support across Support at Home accounting functions, reconciliations, reporting, compliance and financial controls. You will work closely with finance and operational teams to ensure funding, services, invoices and payments are accurately recorded and reconciled. The successful candidate will bring a methodical approach, sound accounting knowledge and the ability to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.
Requirements
- • Manage NDIS and brokerage accounts receivable activities
- • Coordinate the process from quotations and service agreements through to invoicing and payment
- • Process and monitor funding claims through relevant portals
- • Investigate rejected, delayed and underpaid claims
- • Allocate payments and reconcile client accounts and funding receipts
- • Reconcile remittances and accounts receivable control accounts
- • Follow up outstanding debts and resolve account discrepancies
- • Prepare journals and adjustments arising from reconciliations
- • Support Support at Home accounts receivable processes
- • Assist with client budget reconciliations and complex account enquiries
- • Work with operational teams to verify service and funding information
- • Ensure invoices and agreements accurately reflect approved services and funding
- • Prepare bank, balance sheet, general ledger and intercompany reconciliations
- • Process accruals, prepayments, depreciation and other accounting entries
- • Assist with month-end and year-end financial close
- • Contribute to financial statements and management reporting
- • Assist with cash-flow reporting and financial analysis
- • Support budgeting and forecasting activities
- • Perform variance analysis and expenditure monitoring
- • Assist with BAS, GST, payroll tax and other compliance requirements
- • Maintain accurate financial records and appropriate internal controls
- • Identify opportunities to improve accounting, reporting and receivables processes
- • Support the implementation and improvement of accounting systems and procedures
