Job description

A Brisbane business that fixes household appliances wants a technician to repair them in customers' homes.

Here are the basics. You will service and repair fridges, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens and cooktops. Jobs are spread over Brisbane, the Gold Coast and surrounds. The work is full-time or casual, starting immediately, and you run your own service calls.

This one is for applicants already in Australia: sponsorship (482 or 407) may be considered for onshore candidates with suitable qualifications or experience, subject to Australian immigration requirements.

Key responsibilities

Requirements

  • Aptitude or experience in fixing and servicing household appliances
  • Apprentices partway through completing an electrical or refrigeration apprenticeship are welcome, particularly with service and fault-finding experience
  • Restricted or full electrical licence
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Strong diagnostic skills
  • Able to work independently
