The ideal candidate will be confident working with a wide range of men's hairstyles and grooming requirements and able to maintain consistent standards in a busy shop environment. Your professional experience and practical capabilities will be an important part of the selection process.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver professional haircutting, styling and men's grooming services
  • Perform fades, tapers, skin fades and precision cuts
  • Provide traditional and contemporary barbering services
  • Trim, shape and style beards to suit individual client requirements
  • Consult with clients regarding hairstyles, grooming preferences and desired results
  • Apply appropriate barbering techniques based on each client's requirements
  • Maintain a consistently high standard of workmanship
  • Demonstrate accuracy, creativity and attention to detail
  • Provide professional and respectful customer service
  • Use and maintain barbering tools and equipment appropriately
  • Clean and sanitise equipment and work areas
  • Maintain a professional, organised and hygienic workstation
  • Work efficiently while maintaining service quality during busy periods
  • Keep knowledge of current barbering styles and techniques up to date
  • Follow workplace health, safety and hygiene procedures
  • Work collaboratively with other team members

Requirements

  • Proven experience working professionally as a Barber
  • Genuine hands-on barbering experience that can be appropriately verified
  • Strong technical ability across men's haircutting and grooming services
  • Confidence with modern and traditional barbering techniques
  • Ability to demonstrate consistent quality and attention to detail
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Professional presentation and work ethic
  • Reliable and responsible approach to employment
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy customer-focused environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to maintaining workplace hygiene and safety standards
  • Full-time or part-time availability
  • Immediate-start availability is an advantage
