Key responsibilities

  • Perform beef boning and trimming duties
  • Prepare primal cuts according to specifications
  • Carry out slicing and meat-processing tasks where required
  • Maintain high standards of product quality and yield
  • Use knives and equipment in accordance with safety procedures
  • Inspect products and identify quality concerns
  • Maintain hygienic processing practices
  • Follow halal processing procedures
  • Meet production and quality requirements
  • Work effectively with supervisors and team members
  • Follow food safety, hygiene and WHS standards
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment
  • Participate in workplace training and skill development
  • Assist with maintaining efficient production flow

Requirements

  • Relevant professional experience in meat processing
  • Experience in boning, slicing or halal slaughter
  • Strong knife skills and practical processing knowledge
  • Ability to demonstrate previous industry experience
  • Willingness to learn additional processing skills
  • Ability to work safely in a high-volume production environment
  • Physically capable of sustained hands-on processing work
  • Strong attention to detail and product quality
  • Reliable and punctual work ethic
  • Ability to work effectively within a diverse team
  • Current Australian working rights or eligibility for employer sponsorship
  • For overseas applicants, eligibility for the applicable Subclass 482 pathway
  • Ability to satisfy relevant English, health, character and skills requirements
  • Willingness to complete required pre-employment screening
