A genuine opportunity is available for an experienced Welder and Fabricator who can demonstrate strong technical ability, practical workshop experience and a commitment to quality workmanship. Requirements
- • Translate engineering drawings and specifications into accurate fabrication work
- • Complete MIG welding on aluminium and other metal components
- • Carry out welding, fabrication, fitting and assembly associated with marine construction
- • Measure, mark, cut and prepare materials according to project requirements
- • Operate saws, shearing machines, cranes, benders and other fabrication equipment
- • Use drills, grinders, squares, levels and other workshop tools safely
- • Position, align and assemble components with a high level of accuracy
- • Inspect welds, joints and finished components for quality and consistency
- • Identify and address fabrication issues where appropriate
- • Follow workshop safety procedures and occupational health and safety standards
- • Keep machinery, tools and the work environment clean and properly organised
- • Coordinate with management and colleagues to maintain efficient production
- • Work towards agreed quality, productivity and project deadlines
- • Complete time cards, material requests and other relevant workplace records
- • Communicate production, equipment or material concerns to supervisors
- • Contribute ideas and practical knowledge that can improve workshop operations
