Job description

A genuine Australian construction opportunity is available for experienced Bricklayers in Western Australia who can demonstrate the qualifications, practical knowledge and workmanship expected of a professional tradesperson. This role is suited to bricklayers who have built their careers through real on-site experience and can confidently demonstrate what they are capable of. Your trade background, qualifications and employment history will form an important part of the candidate assessment. The successful candidates will join ongoing residential and commercial projects on a full-time basis, with competitive industry rates, weekly pay and optional Saturday work.

Requirements

• • Interpret construction drawings, plans and project specifications
• • Set out brickwork accurately before commencing each task
• • Lay bricks and blocks according to required specifications
• • Prepare and mix mortar to the appropriate consistency
• • Maintain accurate lines, levels, measurements and alignment
• • Use spirit levels and other measuring equipment to verify workmanship
• • Operate brick cutting machinery and relevant trade tools
• • Complete brickwork with attention to structural accuracy and presentation
• • Inspect finished work and correct defects where required
• • Follow project requirements and established construction practices
• • Maintain safe work practices on active construction sites
• • Coordinate work with supervisors, builders and other trades
• • Maintain and safely use bricklaying tools and equipment
• • Keep work areas organised and free from unnecessary hazards
• • Complete assigned work according to project schedules
