Job description

Casual Chef needed at a big community club on the Sunshine Coast, QLD.

The role is casual, with 35-40 hours a week for the right person. Pay is $35.15 - $49.21 per hour. The club runs food and drink outlets, an events and function centre and a sports bar, and you cook for all of them. Your job: help the head chef keep service quick, follow food safety law and keep every plate to the same high standard.

First comes a casual trial. If it goes well for both sides, the employer will consider sponsorship for the right applicant. You must hold Australian work rights at the time you apply.

Key responsibilities

  • Help the head chef run an efficient service

Requirements

  • Minimum three years in a commercial kitchen
  • Bistro cuisine background desirable
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Honest, reliable and positive about great service
  • Team player who multitasks and stays calm under pressure; time management essential
  • Neat, tidy and presentable on every shift
