Key responsibilities

  • Head up the educator team.
  • Mentor and support staff so programs stay high quality.
  • Keep the service compliant: NQF, National Law & Regulations, service policies.
  • Lift standards through continuous improvement against the NQS.
  • Build trust with parents and the community.
  • Manage enrolments and occupancy; keep the service sustainable.
  • Provide a safe, inclusive, child-focused learning space.
  • Apply the Child Safe Standards; put child safety first.
  • Own centre performance: occupancy, team results, regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Leadership experience in early childhood education, proven in past roles.
  • Strong grasp of the National Quality Framework.
  • Can demonstrate leading teams with warmth, clarity and professionalism.
  • Excellent communicator who builds relationships well.
  • Passion for high-quality care and education.
  • Qualification: Diploma or Bachelor in Early Childhood Education, or ACECQA approved equivalent.
  • Current: Working With Children Check, First Aid, relevant clearances, Child Safety and Child Protection Training.
