Job description

Two childcare centres in Cairns are hiring 12 Childcare Workers for full-time roles with children aged 0 to 6.

The jobs are in Cairns, QLD, pay $65,000 - $75,000 per year and are full-time. You must be studying for a Certificate III, hold one already, or hold a Diploma in Early Childhood.

The employer is approved by the Government to sponsor qualified overseas workers, and the occupation sits on the approved list. Visa type and conditions apply, plus a passed ACECQA skills assessment, English test results and a successful trial period.

Key responsibilities

Requirements

  • Certificate III (studying towards it or holding it), or a Diploma in Early Childhood
  • Passion for working with children aged 0-6 years; strong work ethic, enthusiasm, open-minded and innovative
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Computer literacy for electronic programming and portfolios
  • Current Queensland Blue Card
  • Know the regulatory requirements of the National Regulations and National Quality Standards
  • First Aid qualifications, Anaphylaxis and Asthma training if successful
