A boutique Brisbane accounting firm needs a Junior or Intermediate Accountant for tax and business work.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare BAS for all client types
  • Draft income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships
  • Compile financial statements
  • Help with tax compliance and general business services
  • Contact the ATO, ASIC and other authorities when needed
  • Work with senior staff on quality client outcomes and pick up tax planning and advisory exposure as you grow

Requirements

  • Minimum 18 months' experience in Australian public practice accounting
  • That experience gained inside Tax & Business Services
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting
  • Studying towards, or keen to complete, your CA or CPA qualification
  • Experience using Xero or similar accounting software
  • Strong communication and excellent attention to detail
  • Positive, motivated and keen to keep building your accounting career
