A busy Queensland cabinetry and joinery operation is expanding its production team and is seeking two Leading Hand Cabinetmakers who can bring proven technical skills, sound judgement and a strong team mindset to the workshop. The ideal candidate is more than someone who can manufacture cabinetry. You’ll be someone who understands quality, productivity, safety and teamwork, and can set the standard for others around you. Your qualifications, employment history and practical experience will be important in assessing your suitability for this opportunity.

Requirements

• • Supervise and support a small workshop team
• • Lead by example through high-quality workmanship
• • Coordinate production activities and workflow
• • Manufacture and assemble cabinetry and joinery
• • Maintain consistent quality across completed work
• • Interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications
• • Use workshop machinery safely and correctly
• • Monitor productivity and production progress
• • Provide practical assistance and guidance to apprentices
• • Resolve day-to-day workshop and production issues
• • Maintain a clean and efficient work environment
• • Follow and promote workplace safety procedures
• • Assist with site installation work when required
• • Work with management and production staff to meet project requirements
