Job description

Keep production moving with your mechanical expertise. An established manufacturing business in NSW is strengthening its maintenance capability and seeking a reliable, experienced Maintenance Fitter to support the performance and reliability of its production equipment. The ideal candidate will bring genuine Australian maintenance experience, recognised mechanical trade qualifications and a practical approach to diagnosing and preventing equipment problems. 482 visa sponsorship/transfer support may be available to eligible candidates, making this an opportunity to combine proven trade experience with a potential long-term employer-sponsored pathway.

Requirements

  • • Maintaining and servicing mechanical production equipment
  • • Investigating machinery faults and determining root causes
  • • Responding to urgent mechanical breakdowns
  • • Performing preventative and corrective maintenance
  • • Repairing and replacing faulty mechanical components
  • • Maintaining conveyor and material-handling systems
  • • Working with hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
  • • Monitoring equipment condition and performance
  • • Completing maintenance work orders and CMMS documentation
  • • Maintaining accurate service and repair records
  • • Communicating maintenance requirements with production teams
  • • Supporting engineering and reliability initiatives
  • • Following all workplace health and safety procedures
  • • Minimising equipment downtime and production interruptions
  • • Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and housekeeping
