We are looking for an experienced technical leader who can take ownership of field operations and give a distributed team the direction, structure and standards needed to perform at its best. This is not simply a coordination role. You will have responsibility for how technical work is planned, resourced, delivered and monitored across multiple sites. You will balance technical requirements with commercial performance, compliance obligations, customer expectations and field safety. Your practical background will help you understand the realities of the work. Your leadership ability will help you get the best from experienced teams. Your commercial awareness will help ensure jobs are delivered efficiently and profitably.
Requirements
- • Take ownership of technical operations across multiple sites
- • Plan people, inspectors and resources around scheduled compliance requirements
- • Lead and support a geographically distributed technical team
- • Set clear expectations for quality, technical performance and service delivery
- • Monitor utilisation, job margins and work in progress
- • Assess workforce capability and assign the appropriate technical personnel to each job
- • Ensure all activities remain within approved scopes, authorisations and accreditation requirements
- • Lead field health and safety practices and promote a strong safety culture
- • Take responsibility for escalated client concerns and operational issues
- • Provide technical supervision and hands-on field support when required
- • Work alongside technical services, compliance and finance leadership
- • Identify skills, staffing and capability requirements as the operation grows
- • Support development and performance across the technical team
- • Improve planning, resource utilisation and operational efficiency
- • Contribute to business growth while maintaining technical integrity and compliance
