An established GP clinic in Dubbo, NSW, wants a Practice Nurse on a full-time, Monday to Friday Registered Nurse position.

Key responsibilities

  • Back up the doctor during consultations
  • Keep the treatment room stocked, sterilised and maintained
  • Triage patients
  • Dress wounds
  • Give childhood, adult and travel vaccinations
  • Run corporate health checks, ECGs, audiometry and spirometry
  • Manage chronic disease care, plus age-appropriate and Indigenous health assessments
  • Follow infection control and WHS practices, and keep the cold chain secure
  • Support accreditation standards
  • Lead and teach staff, and educate patients

Requirements

  • AHPRA registration that is in date, plus the CPD points required
  • In-date Basic Life Support / CPR certificate (or equivalent)
  • Working With Children Check
  • Able to multi-task, solve problems and manage time
  • Clear written and spoken communication
  • Certified Immuniser: welcomed
