We are seeking an accomplished Senior Project Manager who can bring proven technical knowledge, sound judgement, and strong project leadership to a diverse portfolio of building and venue projects in New Zealand. The ideal candidate will be someone whose career demonstrates measurable responsibility across project planning, construction delivery, technical coordination, stakeholder management, budgets, compliance, and risk. Key responsibilities

  • Provide senior client-side project management
  • Lead complex construction and building renewal programmes
  • Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and delivery strategies
  • Manage consultants, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders
  • Oversee project procurement and contractual requirements
  • Monitor project financial performance and programme delivery
  • Manage construction and physical works within operational facilities
  • Coordinate building-services requirements and technical interfaces
  • Ensure building and regulatory compliance
  • Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and change
  • Provide strategic advice to senior stakeholders
  • Produce clear and accurate project reporting
  • Maintain project quality and delivery standards
  • Resolve complex project and technical challenges
  • Coordinate multiple projects and priorities
  • Build strong relationships across project teams
  • Mentor colleagues and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Strong track record as a Senior Project Manager
  • Proven experience with complex building, construction, or renewal projects
  • Technical understanding of building systems and services
  • Experience managing projects in large or complex facilities
  • Strong understanding of project budgets, programmes, risk, quality, and compliance
  • Knowledge of New Zealand building regulations and consent requirements
  • Understanding of NZS 3910 contracts and consultancy arrangements
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities
  • Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, live environments
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Relevant qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field desirable
  • Equivalent industry experience may be considered
  • Strong professional history and credentials capable of verification
