Job description
We are looking for genuine, verified and experienced Refrigeration Mechanics who are ready to take the next step in their Australian career. This opportunity is designed for tradespeople whose qualifications, practical experience and professional background align with the requirements of a demanding facilities maintenance environment. Successful candidates will work a family-friendly 8/6 FIFO roster, completing 12-hour shifts while on site. Key responsibilities
- Service and maintain commercial and domestic refrigeration systems
- Perform preventative and scheduled maintenance
- Diagnose and resolve refrigeration faults
- Complete mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
- Carry out repairs and replacement of defective components
- Respond to breakdowns and maintenance requests
- Inspect refrigeration equipment and identify maintenance needs
- Ensure all work complies with safety and operational procedures
- Complete maintenance reports and service documentation
- Work effectively with facilities and maintenance teams
- Maintain professional standards of workmanship
- Follow safe work practices at all times
- Adapt to remote and challenging site conditions
- Support consistent and reliable service delivery
Requirements
- Recognised Refrigeration Mechanic qualification
- Current ARC Refrigerant Handling Licence
- WA Restricted Electrical Licence
- Proven experience in commercial and domestic refrigeration
- Current driver's licence
- Willingness to convert to an Australian driver's licence where necessary
- Australian Federal Police Clearance less than 6 months old
- Working at Heights and EWP certification or willingness to obtain
- First Aid, LV Rescue and CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- White Card / Construction Card or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass required medical assessment
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening
- Physically capable of completing 12-hour site shifts
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, flexible and safety-conscious approach
- Australian/New Zealand working rights or eligibility for sponsorship
