Requirements
- • Perform roofing installation work across commercial construction projects
- • Prepare, measure and cut roofing materials to suit project requirements
- • Install edge, ridge and associated roof flashings
- • Measure and modify roofing materials around vents and roof penetrations
- • Prepare roof surfaces and install waterproofing materials around eaves
- • Install and secure roofing underlay using appropriate fixing methods
- • Position starter sheets accurately along roof edges
- • Install successive roofing sheets with correct alignment and overlap
- • Secure roofing materials using suitable screws, nails and fasteners
- • Interpret construction drawings, specifications and site information
- • Assess project requirements and identify appropriate materials
- • Work with modern commercial roofing and cladding products
- • Maintain accurate installation standards and quality finishes
- • Identify potential hazards before and during roofing activities
- • Follow site-specific health and safety procedures
- • Use tools, equipment and materials safely and efficiently
- • Communicate effectively with supervisors and other trades
- • Support the successful delivery of projects within required timeframes
- • Travel to project sites when required
- • Maintain a clean, safe and professional working area
