Job description
A strong construction project starts with the right people on site. We are seeking experienced Roofers who can demonstrate genuine trade capability and consistently deliver safe, high-quality work in Melbourne, Victoria. The opportunity is suited to roofers with experience across commercial or industrial construction. You will join an established site team working on roofing, metal cladding and associated installation projects. We are particularly interested in candidates whose skills and experience can be supported by a clear employment history, relevant qualifications and examples of completed work. Project photos or portfolio evidence are encouraged as part of the application.
Key responsibilities
- Install commercial roofing systems according to project requirements
- Install metal roofing, wall cladding and associated components
- Complete flashing and weatherproofing installation
- Interpret plans, drawings and construction specifications
- Measure, cut and prepare roofing materials for installation
- Carry out roofing work safely in elevated environments
- Operate roofing tools, equipment and access equipment appropriately
- Complete work efficiently while maintaining required quality standards
- Work alongside supervisors, builders and other site trades
- Coordinate roofing activities with the wider construction team
- Follow site-specific safety procedures and workplace requirements
- Inspect completed work to maintain consistent workmanship standards
- Assist with material handling, site preparation and general roofing activities
- Maintain clean, orderly and safe work areas
- Report safety, material or installation issues to the appropriate supervisor
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience working professionally as a Roofer
- Previous commercial or industrial roofing experience
- Metal roofing experience strongly preferred
- Practical knowledge of roofing, cladding and flashing installation
- Ability to work safely at heights and follow relevant safety procedures
- Ability to interpret construction plans and technical specifications
- Experience using standard roofing hand tools and equipment
- Strong focus on accuracy, workmanship and job quality
- Reliable and professional approach to workplace responsibilities
- Ability to work cooperatively within a construction site team
- Relevant roofing qualification or trade certification highly regarded
- Current driver's licence preferred
- Ability to provide evidence supporting previous roofing experience
- Employment history that demonstrates relevant roofing responsibilities
- Project photographs, portfolio material or examples of completed roofing work encouraged
- Willingness to relocate to South Australia
