Job description

An established salon group in Queensland is looking for a confident and experienced Senior Stylist to join its professional team. This opportunity is suited to a stylist who has already developed strong technical skills and understands what it takes to deliver outstanding results for clients. Rather than simply looking at job titles, the recruitment process focuses on your qualifications, practical experience and professional track record. Key responsibilities

  • Deliver professional cutting, colouring and styling services to clients
  • Conduct detailed consultations and identify individual client needs
  • Create personalised styles while maintaining high technical standards
  • Provide consistent, professional and client-focused service
  • Build strong relationships with new and existing clients
  • Use professional haircare products, tools and equipment effectively
  • Maintain awareness of current trends, techniques and industry developments
  • Recommend appropriate haircare products and services to clients
  • Maintain excellent standards of salon presentation and hygiene
  • Manage services efficiently within a busy salon environment
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the salon team
  • Share technical knowledge and practical experience with junior stylists
  • Support the development of less-experienced team members
  • Participate in training, workshops and ongoing professional education
  • Contribute to a positive, professional and creative team environment

Requirements

  • Relevant recognised hairdressing qualification
  • Demonstrated experience in a Senior Stylist or comparable role
  • Strong technical skills across cutting, colouring and styling
  • Established professional experience within a salon environment
  • Ability to demonstrate relevant qualifications and employment history
  • Strong client consultation and communication skills
  • Excellent customer service and relationship-building ability
  • Professional presentation and a reliable approach to work
  • Ability to perform confidently in a busy salon environment
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to mentor and support junior stylists
  • Commitment to maintaining and developing professional skills
