Job description
Experienced truck drivers know that professional driving is about more than holding a licence. It is about judgement, safety, reliability, responsibility and consistently getting the job done. We are looking for Class 2 and Class 5 Truck Drivers who can demonstrate genuine driving capability and are ready to bring their skills into a professional New Zealand transport environment. The role offers flexibility across local delivery and line-haul operations, depending on your licence and suitability. Class 2 drivers will undertake local deliveries throughout Auckland, while Class 5 drivers may operate heavy combination vehicles on line-haul routes between designated locations. You will also play a practical role in the wider operation, assisting with loading, unloading, vehicle preparation and other transport duties when required.
Requirements
- • Operate Class 2 or Class 5 heavy vehicles safely and efficiently
- • Complete scheduled local deliveries throughout the Auckland region
- • Drive heavy combination vehicles for line-haul operations where required
- • Transport goods between customers, distribution centres and operational sites
- • Complete deliveries and collections according to scheduled requirements
- • Load and unload freight safely
- • Check and secure loads before transport
- • Assist with daily truck and freight preparation
- • Carry out routine vehicle and safety inspections
- • Identify and report vehicle or freight issues
- • Maintain accurate delivery and transport records
- • Follow all road safety, workplace health and safety procedures
- • Communicate professionally with customers, colleagues and management
- • Maintain care and responsibility for vehicles and equipment
- • Work independently and manage assigned driving tasks
- • Support the wider transport team with operational duties
- • Undertake manual handling and other reasonable transport-related tasks
- • Adapt to changing routes, workloads and shift requirements
