Job description

A successful warehouse is built on more than forklifts, pallets and stock. It depends on having people who can be trusted to handle materials correctly, get orders right, keep things moving and take responsibility when something needs to be done. An established construction and building supplies business in New South Wales is looking for an experienced Warehouse Operator who is ready to take that level of responsibility. This is a full-time, permanent position combining warehouse operations, forklift work, stock handling, customer service and local deliveries. You will have an important role in making sure products move efficiently from incoming deliveries through to customers and construction sites.

Requirements

• • Safely operating forklifts throughout warehouse operations
• • Receiving, unloading and checking incoming materials
• • Picking and preparing customer orders
• • Checking quantities and ensuring orders are accurate
• • Palletising, wrapping, labelling and securing products
• • Loading materials onto trucks and other vehicles
• • Storing products safely and keeping stock organised
• • Assisting with inventory checks and stocktakes
• • Maintaining records relating to warehouse equipment and stock movement
• • Delivering and collecting building materials from local sites
• • Communicating with customers, drivers and construction-site personnel
• • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• • Following workplace health and safety requirements
• • Taking ownership of assigned warehouse responsibilities
