An established engineering and manufacturing operation in New South Wales is looking for experienced First-Class Welder/Fabricators to join its full-time workshop team. This opportunity is designed for tradespeople who can demonstrate genuine fabrication capability and a professional approach to engineering work. You will contribute to varied projects requiring accuracy, sound welding techniques and careful interpretation of technical drawings. Successful candidates can expect competitive pay, guaranteed overtime of up to 15 hours per week for suitably experienced and qualified tradespeople, ongoing full-time employment and opportunities to develop within a stable Australian workplace.

Requirements

  • • Interpret engineering drawings, fabrication plans and technical specifications
  • • Prepare materials and components for fabrication and welding
  • • Measure, mark, cut and shape materials to required dimensions
  • • Fit and assemble components accurately before welding
  • • Perform MIG, TIG and Stick welding across different positions
  • • Complete fabrication work to required engineering specifications
  • • Produce consistent and high-quality welds across assigned projects
  • • Check finished work for accuracy, alignment, dimensions and quality
  • • Identify and rectify welding or fabrication issues where necessary
  • • Operate welding equipment, workshop machinery and hand tools safely
  • • Maintain required tolerances and dimensional accuracy
  • • Complete fabrication projects within agreed production timeframes
  • • Work independently while maintaining high productivity standards
  • • Coordinate with other workshop trades and team members
  • • Follow workplace health, safety and quality procedures
  • • Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a safe and organised condition
  • • Work additional hours, including Saturdays, when required
