Job description
Barista in Cairns, full-time, with employee sponsorship open under the FNQ DAMA (the Far North Queensland Designated Area Migration Agreement).
At a glance, a specialty roaster wants several coffee professionals. You steer the coffee programme, hold quality and speed, develop the team on the bar and help new products along. Shifts are weekdays from 5am to 2pm, and weekends can be worked too.

Key responsibilities
- Coach and manage the baristas
- Deliver fast, friendly, top-quality coffee service
- Lead QC cupping with the roasting team and help choose green beans
- Roast in production when needed and maintain WH&S standards
Requirements
- Deep specialty coffee knowledge and experience (Q-grader, cupping, competition, barista training and/or roasting history will be highly advantageous)
- Leadership and team-building skills that are proven, plus a love of people and customer service
- Strong time management and organisational skills, with a growth mindset
- Willingness to start at 5am
