Job description

An opportunity is now available for experienced Workshop Blasters & Painters to join a professional industrial services team in Western Australia. This role is suited to qualified and experienced tradespeople who can demonstrate strong technical knowledge across surface preparation, grit blasting and industrial coating application. You will be working in a modern workshop environment with access to advanced equipment and contributing to projects requiring precision, consistency and strict quality standards. Requirements

  • • Complete industrial surface preparation and abrasive blasting activities
  • • Perform grit blasting to Sa 2.5 and Sa 3 specifications
  • • Prepare substrates to required cleanliness standards
  • • Apply industrial coating systems in accordance with technical specifications
  • • Use zinc-rich primers, high-build epoxies and polyurethane products
  • • Operate airless and conventional spray-painting equipment
  • • Apply coatings to required thicknesses
  • • Use wet film gauges to check coating applications
  • • Modify application techniques to suit changing conditions
  • • Complete stripe coating where required
  • • Follow all stages of the coating process
  • • Conduct basic equipment checks, troubleshooting and maintenance
  • • Clean and maintain spray equipment, blasting equipment and tools
  • • Maintain blast room equipment and work areas
  • • Safely load and unload blasting trolleys
  • • Comply with safety, quality and QA/QC requirements
