Key responsibilities
- Perform electrical maintenance across underground mining operations
- Maintain and repair electrical equipment and infrastructure
- Investigate and rectify electrical faults
- Complete planned and reactive maintenance tasks
- Carry out inspections and electrical testing
- Support the safe operation of underground mining equipment
- Identify potential electrical issues before they result in equipment failure
- Complete maintenance activities according to established procedures
- Follow all electrical isolation and safety requirements
- Work closely with mechanical, electrical and operational teams
- Maintain service and maintenance records
- Assist with equipment reliability and continuous improvement initiatives
- Participate in ongoing technical training and mentoring
- Maintain high standards of workplace safety and electrical compliance
Requirements
- Australian-recognised electrical trade qualification
- Current A Grade Western Australian Electrical Licence
- Minimum 3 years' electrical trade experience
- Mining experience desirable
- Underground mining experience highly regarded
- Current C Class Manual Driver's Licence
- HV Switching ticket desirable
- Working at Heights certification desirable
- High Risk Work Licence desirable
- Strong safety focus and professional approach
- Good troubleshooting and communication skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a 7/7 or 2/2 roster
- Willingness to work residentially in Kalgoorlie or FIFO from Perth
